This esteemed organization was founded in 1938 and now comprises 252 chapters and more than 40,000 family members.
Buffalo Chapter was chartered in September 1945. The charter membership of twelve elected Edna Seay as their first Chapter President. President Seay stressed the "value emotional stability and security play, in developing healthy and happy children" that would become the parents of tomorrow. President would later become to Third National President of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. The Buffalo Chapter is a phenomenal chapter where many of the mothers are leaders in their professions, communities, and other organizations while balancing the joy of motherhood and service.
